What is digital accessibility?

Digital accessibility means that no one should be prevented from accessing digital public services. For example, the content should be easy to read and understand. You must also be able to take part in the content, and perform the services that are available, regardless of whether you need to use an aid or not.

What can you do if you cannot use parts of the website?

If you need content from innovativematerials.se that is not available to you, but is exempt from the law’s scope of application as described below, you can send an e-mail or call our press contact:

How have we tested the website?

The website was launched in 2018. We have reviewed accessibility with the support of external expertise. The last review was done in September 2023.

How accessible is the website?

The website is largely compliant with the law on accessibility to digital public services. However, there are parts that are lacking in accessibility. They are described under “Which shortcomings are there?” We work continuously to improve the website, both in connection with technical development and in editorial work.

What are the shortcomings?

At this time, we are aware that we have not been able to meet all of the WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) level AA criteria in the following areas of the website:

  • The “Search on Page” browser tool accessed via Ctrl + F (PC) and ⌘ + F (Mac) does not search collapsed text fields. Which makes searching with direct keywords difficult.

What exceptions are there?

We invoke exceptions for unreasonably burdensome adaptation according to Section 12 of the Act on Accessibility to Digital Public Services for the content below:

  • Document. Not all documents are accessible. Adaptation of the documents takes place continuously.
